Doctor of Philosophy in Cyber Physical Systems (PhDCPS)
The PhD programme is interdisciplinary and therefore, the target group shall be holders of Masters (or Masters of Science) degree in Computer Science including Science in Data Science, AI, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering and others related to the field of Computer Science. The programme will also target graduate fellows and staff from public and private universities, research institutions, government ministries and individuals from the world of work and academia who may require high level qualifications and expertise through research in Computer Sciences.

Applicants for the PhD in Cyber Physical Systems programme shall be eligible for admission with the following minimum requirements:
- A candidate must submit an official application form, together with a motivation lette The CV should include details of appropriate work experience and a list of any publications.
- A candidate who holdsquivalentaqualificationsMaster’sfromany UniversityDegreerecognizedorby theSenate of Busitema University as being an institution of comparable status to that of Busitema University.
- Masters (or Masters of Science) degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Network Engineering, Internet of Things, Systems Engineering and any other related discipline of Cyber-physical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree from any recognised University withrea andatshouldleastprovide proven evidence of research ability;
- Admission into the programme shall depend on the Departmental assessment and recommendation to the Directorate of Graduate studies.
- Letters of recommendation from three (3) referees - at least one of them shall be familiarand sourcewith of funding
- A student shall be admitted provisionally for a period of six (6) months paying the required application fees and having his/her concept paper assessed to be acceptable by both the Department Graduate Committee and the Directorate of Graduate studies Admissions Board.
Note that: The master degree considered should be one of coursework and dissertation.
